Education and Medical Projects
Through the ministry leadership of John Coleman and John Rickets members of the Marne UMC and other churches have been active in two kind of projects in Haiti.
The first is supporting the children of Calabassa, Haiti through linking with the New Convenant Church by providing scholarships for school attendance and building additional school facilities. The June 2012 trips will build a second story on the church facility to provide additional classrooms.
The second is to provide the people in a remove mountainous area medical care. A future vision of those who have shared this ministry is to build a clinic for future use in the area. Please see a video of a recent trip shared by Marne UMC and Centenary UMC - Hearts 4 Haiti
