Connection Groups
Connection Group Childcare Reimbursement Form
What's a Connection Group.  Christianity is not a solo sport.  Remember the 3-legged table example?  We need convictions, commitment and community.  Without community, we will fall flat.

So, we can't do it alone.  No matter how strong our commitments or how passionate our convictions, we need community to spur those commitments and convictions on.  We need someone to walk with us.  Watch our back. Be our support.  We need each other.

If you agree and are ready to connect with other believers at Friendship, then make plans to attend our next Connection Point.

What is Connection Point?  It’s a night that we set aside to make connections.  Let’s face it:  It’s hard to meet new people on Sunday mornings when we are simply trying to get to church on time, drop off our kids at KidzWorld and hopefully grab a cup of coffee and find a seat before the band starts.  Connection Point will allow you the time to actually talk with others.

We will start off the night with coffee and dessert and a leisurely time to meet those who are present.  As the night goes on, we will guide you to gather with others based on likes and interests.  By the end of the night, you will hopefully find yourself sitting with 10 to 12 other people like you who want to connect and are willing to give it a try.

What’s next?  We ask that you meet with those 10 to 12 individuals on a weekly basis for 6 to 8 weeks.  The date and time will be determined by the group facilitator (he’s the one who help organize the group).  We call this time “open group” which means that during the next 6 to 8 weeks if you find that the group you chose at Connection Point is not a good fit then you can leave – no questions asked.  We ask that you contact us through our website and we will try to find a better fit.  We want everyone to have the best experience in groups because we believe that “Connected is best!”

What happens after 6-8 weeks?  After the beginning period, the groups will then “close” meaning that no one will be added to the group during the life span of the group – usually 12 to 18 months.  Sounds a little selfish?  Not really.  We want to create the best possible environment where you can connect with God and each other.  We also want to limit any distractions.

What about kids?  We love them.  They are a blessing.  We can see God through them in our daily lives.  Many times they remind us of our need for God!

All kidding aside, we believe strongly in providing environments where we connect with God and with each other.  We provide that connection for our children on Sunday mornings at 11am.  We provide connection for our adults through Connection Groups.  This time is spent getting to know each other and growing together through bible study.  Just as Sunday mornings KidzWorld are geared toward our children, Connection Groups are designed for our adults.

So what do I do with my kids during Connection group?  Call a babysitter.  Simple.  Easy.  But costly.  That’s where we can help.  We are offering childcare reimbursement for anyone attending a connection group who must hire a babysitter to attend.  The process goes like this…. 1) hire a babysitter; 2) attend group, 3) after group, log on to our website under Connection Group Childcare Reimbursement and complete the form by Tuesday at noon.  A check of $10 per child per week will be written to you.  You can indicate whether you would like your check mailed to your home or you can pick it up.  Simple enough.

We want you to experience true connection – connection with God and with other believers and others who have yet to be connected with God.  We believe that groups are the “Connection Point”.  Connected is best!
